The Broadcom MASTERS Application Deadline has been extended to June 11, 8pm EST.

**Update for the Broadcom MASTERS 2020 Application**

Given the circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Society for Science & the Public and Broadcom Foundation have made the decision to modify our eligibility rules for the 2020 competition by opening the Broadcom MASTERS 2020 application to any middle school student who was registered to compete at a Broadcom MASTERS affiliate fair this academic year. 
If you are a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student who was registered to participate at your local affiliated fair this academic year, and you did not receive information from your Fair Director on how to gain access to the application, please email us at

Welcome, Nominees! Congratulations on the completion of your science fair project this year. Fill out this application in order to be considered for additional awards. All students who enter will receive a Broadcom MASTERS t-shirt and bumper sticker, plus will be entered in a drawing to win other cool prizes like swag packages and Raspberry Pis. Plus, just by OPENING your application, you'll receive a set of digital STEM stickers!

September 2, 2020, 12 p.m. ET Top 300 MASTERS announced.
September 16, 2020, 12 p.m. ET Top 30 Finalists announced.
October 16 to 21, 2020 National Finals in Washington, DC!

Finalists will present their original science fair projects and compete in teams to test their leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities in science, engineering, and mathematics. Prizes include the $25,000 Samueli Foundation Prize, scientific excursions, and cash awards to finalists’ teachers and schools.
